Awenda Provincial Park June 2005

The Hamiltons just loved Awenda. The roads and paths are great for biking and the trails are interesting. The sites in particular are wonderful, even though a bit too shaded. It would be lovely in the fall or in the early spring when the trilliums are out. We are definitely interested in visiting this area again. Re the sites at Awenda, here is my list of unsuitable sites, mostly because of difficulty in getting in...(most are inside sites)
202,204,214,215,217,218,220,221,222,232,234,235,236,239, 244,246,249,252,254,255,256,257,262 and 265(both on turns),273

Ok sites include 201,203,205,206,208,209,210,211,216,224,226,229(dark),230,237(may be hard for 5th wheel),238, 240,242,259,260,261,263,264,267,269,271(small), 272(small),274

Good Sites include 213,223(non-reservable),225,227,231,233,241,242,243,245,247,250,251,253

How did you find your sites? Where there any that you would not recommend in the future?
All for now....Dee

Rosemarie said "Cookie & I loved it, we'll definitely be going back. As a rule we found most of the outside sites were better than the inside with the exception of sites 214, 236, 251, 253 & 266 which for varying reasons "we" didn't like. Would love to go in the Fall to see the colours."

Pauline Curtis said "We loved Awenda and plan to go back. We especially liked the quiet, the great forest and the drive up was pretty too. Nice and close.
Bob liked the hiking trails (I'll catch them next time)."
